Hell Hath No Fury Records
This release is one of those “new tracks along with a heap of old ones” in an enhanced discography style. ‘Take Me Home’ offers up 25 tracks, so you get your money’s worth for sure. Generally fast paced hardcore, raging along at fine speed – try ‘Erinmeyer Flask’ as genreal sampler there. Their eponymous song builds up pace to a great cresendo, going to almost fult-tilt grindcore in places.
A seriously unhealthy obsession with X-Files (with many a song title and lots of interspersed soundbites, but that aside, this is great raging hardcore. Vocals going off into Roger Miret territory on occasions but not fully-aping the style at all. Personal favourite for me is the super-speedy ‘Copy Song’ – totally thrash-tastic!
A great ‘discography’ here. I hadn’t heard of these before, but that’s no surprise as I am often well out of touch with stuff. Hoping with all fingers crossed that there’s more to come as it’s essential listening and I now have a whole vein to mine, musically.
You may find it difficult to get hold of a physical copy, but take it from me and go buy a download of it and if needed burn your own CD to listen to. You’ll not regret it.
