Bastard Face – Never Break Keyfabe

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Bastard Face play a fair few times around the North East gig circuit now and they’ve always delivered a great set of songs.

Comprising several ex-members of now-defunct Keyside Strike, Batsard Face certainly know how to bang out a tune. GBH fuelled madness, such as Killing Spree, belts out a great singalong chorus.

Dehumanised on the other hand flirts with Discharge’s sound just enough so as not to be another ‘Dis-band’ but has that familiar chord structure that just gets your head moving. If your a fan of early English Dogs before they went all metal, you’re in for a treat too, as ‘Eye For An Eye’ is sure to please.

A mighty fine dose of the early 80s style punk ‘n’ roll (UK82 is just too claustrophobic a moniker to use here), superbly delivered and the only question I’d have is why the hell it’s taken so long to get this recorded and out there? Happy days that it is now, though.
